Setting Goals!

Alison Arnold “Doc Ali” over at Headgames, gives us a quick lesson on the importance of setting goals in this video.

Goal-setting is extremely important for athletes, and is the best stepping stone to having a successful season. Goals help athletes push themselves in a healthy way, and give them a stronger sense of accomplishment by seeing tangible results.

At Gymfinity International, we encourage our athletes to set short term goals (such as hitting ten series connections) and long term goals (such as learning specific new skills by the end of the season.) We use visual aids to help solidify their focus.
It is important for coaches to know the goals of the athletes in order to help reach them. Doc Ali tells us that “70% of people that set goals, achieve goals,” but our job as coaches is to teach all of our athletes that each goal they set can be attained with proper focus and determination.
Don’t forget to ask your athletes what goals they have set over the last week, and check out their star goals by the stretching mirrors!

*New* FLEX Option for Teams!

Due to the need for many of our families to have more schedule flexibility to accommodate other activities, we have reorganized our team practice structure to allow athletes to choose practice days and vary commitment levels.

We are now offering a FLEX option for team athletes, in which they may choose the days that they attend practice each week.

For example, if your athlete has dance at another facility on Wednesdays, but is on the Galaxy G4 team, they may elect to attend practice on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

FLEX options are as follows by team (and can also be found on our Schedules and Tuition page.)

Galaxy Team FLEX options

(serves all athletes training USAG equivalent levels 3 through 5)

Practices are available Monday through Thursday, from 5:15 to 7:30pm, and required on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00pm.

  • Choose any TWO weekday practices, plus Sunday practice. Monthly Tuition: €254
  • Choose any THREE weekday practices, plus Sunday practice. Monthly Tuition: €273
  • Choose all FOUR weekday practices, plus Sunday practice. Monthly Tuition: €288

*It is highly recommended that athletes training Level 4 or higher attend a MINIMUM of three weekday practices plus Sundays, unless they are also training gymnastics, dance, or cheer at another facility. Certain skills can not be safely trained without proper strength, flexibility, and repetition, which require ample practice time.*

Cosmos Team FLEX options

(serves all athletes training USAG equivalent levels 6 through 10)

Practices are available Monday through Thursday, from 5:15 to 8:30pm, and required on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00pm.

  • Choose any THREE weekday practices, plus Sunday practice. Monthly Tuition: €295
  • Choose all FOUR weekday practices, plus Sunday practice. Monthly Tuition: €320

**For safety reasons, athletes training level 8 or higher should attend all five practices. Please discuss with us prior to enrolling for the reduced practice time.**

Regardless of your FLEX option, Girls’ Team athletes are required to attend Sunday evening practices from 5pm-8pm, three Sundays per month (the Sunday that coincides with the military four-day weekend is off each month.) This is our full-team practice that has no event conflicts with other classes. It has been scheduled Sunday evenings (as opposed to the traditional Saturday morning practice) to allow families to have a full, uninterrupted weekend.
